JC: Dinos 5 cosas que todo el mundo debería saber de Mark Piotrowski?
Mark: 1: Amo reir - 2: Amo llorar - 3: Tomar fotografía es mi trabajo - 4: Entre más envejezco, más humilde me convierto -5: Agradezco a Dios por dejarme despertar cada mañana.

JC: En fotografía, cómo te sientes contigo mismo, sientes que te hace falta algo en fotografía?
Mark: Quisiera tener la libertar para viajar por el mundo.

JC: ¿Qué prefieres fotografiar?
Mark: Disfruto fotografiar objetos con un pulso (con vida).

JC: ¿Cuántas cámaras posees? ¿Tienes alguna favorita?
Mark: Tengo más de 5 cámaras y he tenido más de 10 en el pasado, mi favorita este año es la Canon.

JC: Infuencias. Fotógrafos que admires.
Mark: Influenciado por mi mentor que me enseñó todo lo que sé “Stu”

JC: Para ti, ¿Qué elementos son más importantes en una buena fotografía? ¿Contenido? ¿Composición? ¿Técnicas de impresión? ¿Algo más?
Mark: Para mi, poder ver la fotografía antes de tocar la cámara… y también la iluminación es clave.

JC: Cuando no estas trabajando en un proyecto de fotografía, a que hora te despiertas?
Mark: Me despierto cuando debo.

JC: ¿Pasas tiempo en el cuarto oscuro? Y si no, ¿qué piensas del proceso de revelado de fotografía para el futuro?
Mark: Yo solía tener un cuarto oscuro por muchos años atrás. Y pienso que los rollos se volverán a ultilizar en el futuro de 10 a 20 años.

JC: ¿Salado o dulce?
Mark: Ambos, salado o dulce no me molesta.

JC: ¿A qué lugares te gusta ir para fotografiar? Qué debe tener un objeto para que llame tu atención?
Mark: Yo puedo fotografiar no importa donde esté, los objetos son irrelevantes al menos que los mismos sean los puntos clave a ser fotografiados.

JC: ¿Siempre llevas una cámara contigo?
Mark: Solía hacerlo, pero ya no. Solamente cuando tengo programado fotografiar

JC: Como fotógrafo, ¿Consideras que tienes algún legado que te gustaría dejarle al mundo?
Mark: La fotografía es una forma increíble para conocer gente, visitar nuevos lugares, pero más que todo para divertirse.

JC: ¿Qué te hace sonreir?
Mark: Un par de tragos con un buen grupo de amigos.

JC: ¿Hay alguna fotografía en particular que recuerdes de algún proyecto? ¿Por qué?
Mark: Cada fotografía es particular para mí, pero mi favorita de todos los tiempo todavía no ha sido fotografiada.

JC: ¿Desde cuándo haces fotografía? ¿Cuál fue tu primera cámara? ¿Todavía la tienes?
Mark: Empecé en 1993 usé una Bronica 6/47 2 en un cuarto medio formato cámara, que dejé caer en mi primera sesión, 5 pies al concreto. La cámara nunca se rompió por más que suene mal la caída. Gran cámara hasta que la vendí en 1995.

JC: ¿Tienes algún proyecto futuro por el que ya sientas pasión?
Mark: Nunca se sabe, hay proyectos nuevos todo el tiempo.

JC: Cuando vas a fotografiar, ¿Qué comes durante o entre las sesiones?
Mark: Yo como lo que sea que pueda poner en mis manos. Al menos que sea un evento formal.

JC: ¿Algún comentario para los que empiezan por este camino de la fotografía?
Mark: Nunca pienses o digas que eres un gran fotógrafo, al segundo que lo digas estarás renunciado a ser mejor.

Mark: 1: I love to laugh - 2: I love to cry - 3: Taking pictures is my job - 4: The older i get the more humble i become -5: I thank God for waking up every morning

JC: In photography, how do you feel about yourself, do you feel anything’s missing for your work?
Mark: I wish I had the freedom to travel the world.

JC: What do you prefer to take pictures of?
Mark: I enjoy shooting subjects with a pulse

JC: How many cameras do you have? Any favorite?
Mark: I have more than 5 cameras and have owned more than 10 in the past, my favorite this year is Canon

JC: Influences. Photographers you admire.
Mark: Influenced by my mentor who taught me everything i know "Stu"

JC: For you, what elements make a good picture? Content? Composition? Printing techniques? Something else?
Mark: to me i can see the picture before i reach for the camera... and also lighting is key.

JC: When you are not working on a photography project, at what time do you wake up?
Mark: I wake up when i must

JC: Do you spend any time in the dark room? If not what do you think about developing films future?
Mark: I use to own a darkroom many years back. I think film will return in 10 to 20 years

JC: Sweet or Salty?
Mark: Both sweet and salty i dont mind.

JC: Which places do you like to go to do photography? What an object should have to captivate your attention?
Mark: I can shoot anywhere I end up, objects are irrelevant unless they are key points to the shot.

JC: Do you always carry a camera with you?
Mark: I used to carry a camera everywhere but not anymore. only when i am scheduled to shoot.

JC: As a photographer, do you have any legacy you would like to leave to the world?
Mark: Photography is an amazing way to meet new people, visit new places, but most of all have fun.

JC: What makes you smile?
Mark: A couple of drinks with the right group of friends

JC: Is there any particular picture that you remember from a project? Why’s that?
Mark: Every picture is particular to me, but my all time favorite has not been shot yet!

JC: Since when did you start doing photography? Which was your first camera, do you still have it?
Mark: Started photography in 1993 used a Bronica 6/47
two in a quarted medium format camera which I dropped on my very first shoot from about 5ft onto concrete. The camera never broke as bad as it sounded. Great camera till I sold it in 1995.

JC: Do you have any future project you feel passion for already?
Mark: Never know, there are new projects presented every time.

JC: When you go to do photography, what do you eat during or between the sessions?
Mark: I eat anything I can get my hands on. unless its a formal event.

JC: Any comments for the ones starting on this path?
Mark: My comments to those starting out on this path are as follows: Never think or say that you are an amazing photographer, cause the minute you do, you give up trying to better yourself.
